HD isn’t getting any bail out bucks and their base as it stands today have been hit hard in the stock market and many middle aged finance workers are unemployed. Look for HD to continue slashing prices. Next will be a consolidation of dealerships. Many of the overblown ostentatious palaces will close. Only months away. Unable to afford litigation to protect their brand small shops and parts manufactures will spring up offering quality HD equipment at a deep discount. HD will suffer with their stock falling to the 9-10 dollar range and perhaps even lower. But the good news is they will be forced to become the everyman’s bike again as they were in the 60’s affordable to blue collar workers and good parts availability at reasonable prices. That is something they don’t have now. This new popularity will carry the company in spite of itself and the brand will live on but the greedheads at the top will be pissed.
